Do you read/play hentai manga/games even if...?

...you can't understand the language? I'm just curious if I'm the only one out there who enjoys playing hentai games instead of just downloading the CG set. Can't say the same for hentai manga though... I tend to only read english translated ones.

for the first year of my experience, Yes, I play VN's/ERoge even though I don't understand a single word (Skip function FTW), and I collected many CG -sets, I MEAN MANY.
but starting at year 2 and 3, I deleted ALL my CGs, and decided playing and reading a VN/eroge is more enjoyable than collecting the Cg's. This has been supported by studying Japanese by myself for 3 years, with the help form my Japanese club.
and about manga, almost the same experience as the game one, but the difference is now I don't read many H-manga/doujin anymore.
Maybe it's because it lack voices lol. But I still like the illustrations though.

The only games I play are Illusion-Soft titles...and my impatience usually resluts in me dl'ing a hacked save file...>_>
Importing manga is too expensive for me. That's part of the reason why I've joined this site!
Plus, they've been bringing a lot of the titles I like(Maka-Maka, Take On Me)over in english and a store near my place stocks them, so...

I don't really play h-games much, except for those by Norn soft with agth and a machine translator. Which works because h-game dialogues aren't exactly Anna Karenina.
I do however read japanese eromanga (tank/mag scans), almost exclusively even, because those I like rarely if ever end up translated, and if they do, I end up groaning in agony at the dialogues. Not exactly rocket science to parse the plots without understanding everything either.

Curious and Wondering
I enjoy playing eroge more than simply grabbing the CGs. First few years I had to rely on paper and pen (mapping paths) while playing them. Eventually I decided to soak in all the fun and learn Japanese.
It's like playing Super Mario - it's more enjoyable playing from A-Z rather than just knowing what happens after Z.
But for manga... I'm quite lazy to translate a whole chapter. I prefer scanlations/buying English translated manga. But I still buy a few raw Japanese manga titles to keep my Nihongo knowledge fresh.

I actually started reading Hentai manga in Japanese.
Absolutely no translations whatsoever.
That kinda' brought my spirits down... but I still enjoyed it anyway.
Thank goodness for Fakku though! ^^

I guess when it comes to hentai i started just looking at pic's eventually discovered what the concept of what hentai manga was and then came upon fakku.net upon one generous anon who comes here and ive been here ever since. In terms of if read/play i guess you could say that i do both and in the future I would like to learn Japanese so that i can fully understand whats going on in non-translated manga.

I enjoy both un-translated H manga and H games. I'm planning to learn some Japanese during my college break.

Both. If it is a series I really enjoy (like the Shuffle! games) I'll play them and download the CG sets. Otherwise I'll typically just download the CGs.
