Sad and sweet. Reminds me of that 'can I be drawn better' pic in random a short while ago, in both that sense and that there are a lot of ways to look at it.

I'm still kinda weirded out with the fact that there was like an arm in the package.

I watched this a long time ago. I was quite sad that it had no sequels... what really annoyed me was that why there was no rock around to use to destroy that glass wall...

Indeed this was very nice I hope I can find or see more like it...

I was touched. The process of creating it can be found here. It apparently was done by one person and took six months.

Cool sad & a bit creepy. Thanks. PS. Was that HER arm or another drawing.

WTF?!
I'm sorry, but I never really liked sad shorts of anything. It's just depressing, no matter what the moral, and this one didn't really have one.
-The glass separating the two and the guy trying to break it to be with the girl isn't a moral, it's just sad and frustrating.
--And don't even start with the whole, "It's called sacrifice for the one you love, dickshit!" If the guy had another arm he could poorly write with, then he could eventually learn how to draw with that hand too! She didn't have to maim herself, and even then how in the shit is he supposed to use HER ARM to draw? The imagery is sick, dude!
I'd love to see what the guy would say after realizing his love was crazy lol
On a more serious note, the music and animation was damn near impeccable (which is the reason I even watched it, for the great animation). Just because something is sad that doesn't mean it's deep. I liked the art style, but there was no moral and the character's actions at the very end made no sense.

@ MegaTenLove: You're right, there is no moral. He just felt like drawing something kind of sad for his girlfriend. But that's not to say it that it doesn't have meaning. You don't sound like an artist, and, quite frankly, the way you speak about this animation ticks me off.

Not all things have to have a moral. It was just a nice sad short.

Many people can take it in different ways and the way I took it was that she was trying to say that she's just like him now. A statement saying "We're equal, we can still be together and draw despite this disability."
I really don't see the "moral" to your post and I'm asking myself why you had to react like this. I agree with OBK in that it ticks me off a little.
