I don't think "attention starved" is a proper term for this kind of behaviour. Yes, it is seeking companionship from his majick glowing box, but instead of bragging about some dubious conquest the previous night--it just sounds like old boy wanted to have a conversation. If anything, it's proof that he is not a tv alcoholic, as he is seeking out the social aspect of drinking that is so highly valued in this country.
(Although, I don't know what's wrong with a bottle of Cheap Red Wine-the brand-and a winding, masturbatory, essay. It's the intent to unwind we're all going for.)

It wasnt my liver... thats not how it works for diabetic people. My liver has been relatively undamaged by drinking, we're talking black out drunk 10 time in my life? Think of it as a diabetic person ingesting a whole bunch of sugar in liquid form, borderline death.
