It sums up the game really well, hah.
Looks like it's fairly old, but damn. I love it.

Remember me?
As someone who has never played Persona 4 but has the internet, I think its about a bunch of teenagers who have a normal school life but at midnight they watch TV and it gives them nightmares where they fight monsters and 1 guy wears a weird giant cartoon bear suit.

I've been replaying Persona 3: FES this past week.
If Fuuka would just shut the hell up and had a better voice, I'd say it's one of the better RPGs out there.
Currently going on a bit of a fusing spree before I start a new game+ and have my social links reset.
(Memory card problems, so I lost my old game. Ah well.)

There's a reverse trap. Excellent. This marks the day I play something because of a reverse trap.
There's a reverse trap? Shiiit
And do it, play the game. It's fun. Although the third boss is insanely hard for some reason... first two are easy, then the third is just pretty much 'GRIIIIIND OR YOU'LL NEVER BEAT ME'. I hate grinding.. got up to level 8, which is like the minimum to beat it, and then tried 50 times to beat it

It's not grinding so much as you have to give thought to the personas you're using and making. And yeah grinding helps though.

Well, grinding the persona's to have the specific traits to beat it... I ended up fusing an awesome persona by accident. It is immune to fire, so that make the battle a shit tonne easier. I was told to level up slime and another one, which you fuse together to get arch angel, which is immune to physical and fire, and that helps... but I couldn't be fucked.

Once I fused Trumpeter the game became so much easier. Of course I didn't stop until I had my hands on Lucifer, fucker is so OP.

For people who played both, which would you say is better between 3 and 4? Any changes to game mechanics?

You can actually control everyone's actions during battle so no Ice Breaks and Marin Karins when you don't need them.

They're both equally great in terms of story and characters in my opinion. P4 has some nice game play improvements though. Being able to control your entire party and having more save spots are examples. You can also go back to previous floors in dungeons.
Of course, they both lose points for being English dub only. Though, I'll admit, Atlus didn't do a terrible job at dubbing the games.

Oh thank lord.
Fucking useless Tentafaroo.
@Ammy: Yeah, the dubs are pretty good. Junpei and Yukari are especially well done, I find. They sound very natural.

Personally I'd say P4 is better, the cast is much more sympathetic (both games have sympathetic characters so it's just comparatively), you get direct control over your teammates so no useless fucking AI fucking you in the ass, and the protagonist much less of an asshole. Oh and reverse trap :3

I just remembered that Persona 4 got an anime, didn't it? Was it any good? How close does it tread with the game?

It followed it as best as it could. Personally I felt it was too rushed but I stopped watching after a couple episodes because I was too busy with playing Persona 4 Golden on my vita.
