As a person whom preciously and thoroughly loved AnoHana I would advise you to ignore your one pathos based argument and finish the show. It might be as you expect it to be. But the music and course of the anime will keep it fresh and make you yearn for more.

As for the other anime'. I would recommend you to watch Denpa Teki na Kanojo because of the shortness of it. It's only two episode. And how come you didn't like Gurren Lagann? I thought it was a very straightforward, simple and addictive show. Sure, it wasn't all that great but it was very enjoyable.

As much as you might try to convince me otherwise I don't see myself watching AnoHana. As for Gurren Lagan I don't really have much detailed reasons. It just seemed dumb to me. I have already gotten yelled at by a couple of people who think its the best thing since sliced bread.

The majority of animated Japanese shows are aimed for kids or teenagers. Seeing how you thought it was dumb doesn't surprise me at all.

I am aware of the usual demographic for anime. But that hasn't stopped me from liking a lot of them. I am avoiding Chuu2 cuz of moe. Moeblob I believe is the word. But as far as I am concerned moe is just another level of stupidity so the answer to your assumption is yes. I am avoiding it because of stupidity
