Ah, tricky. Have had to go into services just once, Windows 7 apparently thinks it's a good idea to have smart card readers activated manually. Took me a bit to find a solution then as well.

It's still broken, starts printing and then just stops dead. I've tried everything I can think of.

Done it 3 times now. Even printing a test page results in the same.
