yup, probably one of the reasons why it dies so quick... nobody really cares to start a talk~
I'm not really good at starting topics too(because probably it'll be one sided-talks) but I always tried to follow up a topic or something, as long as I know a little bit about it~

Hard to say something when you have nothing to say, though.you can always politely decline, or change the topics, or just say you're AFK if the convo is really random~ xD
rather than ignores it...., ignored post happens a lot in here...
