I didn't really know about censorship in animes~

While I have not seen the anime version of KnJ, the ridiculous levels of censorship applied to its TV airing were quite famous at the time, in the worst case hiding half of the screen...

that's why BD ver. exist~ :3

Yes, viewers are more drawn to characters than the story. I'm guilty of that.

what I remember as the most infamous censorship for stupid reasons

I prefer story over characters, and don't really care about Voice actors, except if it's an adaptation from anime or Light novels, sometimes the voice failed to picture the character perfectly~

theres worse. WAY worse.

just look up Mitsudomoe. They have a hamster literally called "Chikubi" (Nipples). and there is a scene where the whole class is cheering for it by chanting his name.

How come loli hentai can exist though?

Still quite a bit of overreaction there, this anime really got the worst of it, and it was a time where things got quite bad with censorship anyway. Pretty much the same situation in Ro-Kyu-Bu! escaped without any trouble years later.

if I'm not mistaken, the studio received a lot of complaint and stuffs, but they keep ignore it~
well probably people have no power to stop anime airing in Japan, as example you could see Gintama..., too many parodies from other animes, or even real life politician..., they have received so many complaint but still airing till now~
