Cool. I ain't a huge festival person, but I really want to go to a nearby music fest in a couple months. Sound on Sound festival located in a nearby fairground that was constructed to compete with Ren Fest. Pretty damn awesome looking lineup in all honesty, but $165 USD seems a wee bit steep for my cheap ass. T_T

I think I have some acquaintances going, so maybe they can convince me to take the plunge! Cool bands from across the board will be there though. Nerdy alternative hip hop in the form of folks like Death Grips, clipping, Open Mike Eagle, Aesop Rock, Thundercat, Run the Jewels, Big Boi, Killer Mike solo as well.... Also dat metal like Baroness, Old Man Gloom and Carcass. And fun punk stuff like Dillinger Escape Plan, Metz, Thee oh Sees and While Lung! Also Health and Kero Kero Bonito....

Overall it seems like a pretty good time, but I hate spending money...

Having money is nice. Also that isn't super surprising. If one isn't into alt hip hop most of the other artists I listed are not mega notable. Except Baroness is kinda popular for sludge metal I think... Of course I never actually know what's popular. I generally try to start talking about music with people with a bunch of assumptions that are wholly incorrect.

Recently I have been trying to lead with questions about Frank Zappa's jazzy solo albums, which apparently nobody knows. For some reason I thought that Frank Zappa was like a household name in the ol' US of A...

Ah, yeah, only Carcass and Kero Kero Bonito are British. Don't know much about y'all's rap game, just some trip hop from back in the day. And Dr. Syntax.

That being said I don't know that much about America's rap game, which is why I am pretty hyped that almost all of the artists that I enjoy are going to be at the same place near here!
