Maintenance is stopping me from posting yet I can browse just fine.

Haven't been quite stopped yet, but it certainly took quite a while and failed to load the post after that...

I just created 6 duplicates in a thread >.

You know Jacob made a thread in IB about the bug.

I believe my reply there is the reason the café was fixed.

Ah, I didn't even see it until an hour or so after getting on here this morning.

You all still think it's because of deleting posts, it really isn't. It's because the forum doesn't count the multiple posts caused by the maintenance. If you end up 4-5 dups the forum only thinks you posted one reply still.

That certainly is the main reason, yes. And I believe my latest experience makes it pretty much clear that successfully deleting a post can not cause this problem, since the number of posts is clearly decreased before deleting the post. Still, a failed deletion like what happened to me with that 'wall of ruin' has now been proven to cause this without a doubt.

I mean I was deleting posts well before this maintenance thing started and the threads were never effected back then.

So was I. Never had it fail on me before, though. Since I actually managed to cause this to decrease the number of pages shown, it clearly had to be the cause. Multiple posts being counted as one can not do that.

You think by now, Jacob would have already assessed this.

A bit tricky if you aren't actually there when it happens, though.
