Really depends on the manga, I guess. Mostly I don't care for cooking manga or anime, but there are exceptions.

not really, lately manga's illustrations can illust them properly in manga, for example that Shokugeki no souma and some other gourmet manga~
it's too bad I cannot smell the food over mangas~ XD
