had to convert the HDD from MBR to GPT.
After opening the case, deiced it will be to much of a hassle to disconnect the DVD rom and plug in HDD copy files and than disconnect and reconnect.
So all i have done in install the HDD removed the old one, put the old one in the HDD dock and will be copying files that way.
Don't know why seagate did not format the drive as GPT instead MBR as MBR only allows upto 2tb and the drive is 4tb

They generally slot-in without much fuss.

it slotted in fine,
it's just my pc only has to HDD bays, but i have 3 HDD running.
I bought this HDD to replace one that is failing, the quickest way for me to transfer the data would have been to connect it via sata, but to do so will mean having to remove one HDD and than put it back in.
The other option would be to discount the DVD drive and and use the sata from their to connect the HDD and transfer the data, but to disconnect it will be a hassle as the area is tight.
So i just removed the failing drive and put the new on in.
and using a HDD dock to transfer data, this is going to be the slowest way to do it but the simplest way.
plus the HDD is 4TB but seagate format the drive as MBR under MBR it only recognizes 2tb so the PC will not be able to use the other half, so i had convert/format to GPT which will give me access to the full 4tb

Mine only has 2 as well. One is the standard for Windows shizz and the other is for my music (which luin will understand).

mines has
2 x 5.25"
1 x 3.5" for expansion i.e floppy/card reader etc
2 x 3.5" for HDD
The one expansion has a 3.5 to 2.5 converter and has my SSD which has windows and programs.
1 640 HDD which has some files but mostly torrent
1 2tb which mostly some anime/manga/hentai/porn etc it only 30% full (this is the drive that is failing)
i plan to move torrent dll onto the new 4tb drive and use the 640 just for files, music etc

Do notifications lag for anyone else?Haven't noticed any problems so far, but then again, I don't get that many of them, and I'm currently seeing them quite late anyway since I'm mostly busy gaming.
