not rigging to win but just making sure some countries make it to the finals
not unless there is some unrest with some countries,
counties are run by people and people can be very vain.
While there are some countries that clearly vote for their friends (Greece and Cyprus, for example, as we saw even last year (but then again, they were my and Shane's favorites, so can't really blame them either)), no one is going that far to rig the contest. Hell, Israel was actually second to last in their semifinal in 2014.
Had to come offline for a bit but I saw the results.
Well done luin, Estonia got through.
Disappointed Croatia didn't get through.
How the hell did that damn Chicken song...
Eh, it's never been a problem of governments influencing the votes in this competition. The people, on the other hand, have done horrible things with the televoting again and again, with neighboring countries almost always voting for each other (exceptions being those historically opposed to each other), people voting for countries their families originally came from, and even people crossing borders to vote for their own country.
The only thing Eurovisuon is guilty of is 'friendly voting'. Like you said with Greece and Cyprus.
A reason we will never win is because we have no countries we're that close to. So no guarantied votes.
