[font=verdana][color=green]Okay, I'm going to lay out exactly why Skype is better than MSN.

1) Interface: The Skype interface is a lot neater and concise than the MSN one. You have a chat screen on the right-hand side and the list of contacts on the left-hand side. This makes it easier to have multiple conversations, as the conversations are all under one application and ergo one tab. With MSN...it's very clunky. The conversations form different tabs, which means if you have multiple conversations, very quickly your tabs are going to get pretty messy pretty quickly.

2) Presentation: This kinda ties in with the interface. With Skype, everyone has the same font. This makes it very easy to read the conversations you are having, especially if you are having a conversation with multiple people. With MSN, however, everyone has different fonts and different colours; just plainly, this can make it very annoying to keep up with the conversation - especially when people use a lot of emoticons. Skype has them, but they are much more restricted than on MSN.

3) Groups as contacts: In Skype, if you are added to a group, you can save that group as a contact. In MSN, if you are added to a random group, you can't save it as a contact. So, it's fairly obvious which is better and why.

4) More people on Fakku have Skype: Sure, some people do have MSN, but many more have realised that Skype is simply better and has more people on there, so they make the transition from MSN to Skype.

In fact, a study actually compared Skype with MSN in terms of the technical side of things, like their bandwidth consumption and data-transfer rates etc. The short story; they conclude that Skype is of a higher quality than MSN is.

I don't know why you are being so stubborn. Maybe it's because you truly believe MSN is better, but without using Skype I can't believe that. Maybe it's because you don't want to download another application that you'll "hardly use". Perhaps...although I daresay that you hardly use MSN due to most people making the move from MSN to Skype, and besides; it's barely a few dozen megabytes in size and if you don't like it, you can just delete it. Nah, I think that it's just you not wanting to lose face; from what I can tell, you've refused to move from MSN to Skype for a long time, so you just don't want to "cave in" to peer pressure. That's what I believe honestly.

In fact...downloading Skype and giving my contact name to people on Fakku was one of the best Fakku-related things I ever did, as it allowed me to make some great friends I wouldn't have made if I hadn't done so. These friends all know who they are and would probably agree with me to that effect.

But, if you don't bite after all that, then whatever.

on MSN, then around 50-50, now I'm pretty much only on Skype. Cause I like it much more.

Hmm, I feel like playing a new game.

But I have NO idea what to get, lol. I used to love gaming, but now I'm so out of the loop. I used to like RPGs and fighting games. I just know I don't like FPS. And the only side scroller I enjoyed was Mario and a random Sailor Moon game for SNES...that I am now tempted to dig up the ROM for....

Any suggestions? I only have a PS2...maybe a Wii soon. And I'm fine w/ PC games.

The only games on my list are the two Nintendo DS Professor Layton games I never got =n=

I havent been to fakku for like half a year or more now? but im just dropping by saying hi to people old and new.

about skype and whatever. ive been using skype for the cam and voice and yahoo messenger for the text talking. it just works fine that way for us i guess. and besides i guess i dont do much typing anyway since ive a mic and all.

oh yeah, for longer distances for some reason the video on skype is usually clearer. i ... dont know why but it jsut works hahaha.

well just a quick recap about me. my 2+ years of engagement was to come to an end ... we were to get married this november. but something happened... i honestly didnt expect it, nor did anyone... i guess we can say the wedding is off. i mean even mom was so outraged that i had to leave home and live with my ex-bf just... coz theres so much heat at home.

now i ended up with a guy from illinois. sometimes i wonder if i did something really stupid... i mean i know my future with this guy is so uncertain, unlike the previous setting but, i just cant help it. he just really makes me feel different. i just hope one day hed consider my offer of living here in california with me...

oh PS hey i have my own place now woohoo!!! been stayin here for like 2 weeks now? and i like it. theres a huge window and its on the second floor. so its kinda cute at night hohhohoho
