Haha, bug. The sites been really buggy recently. My friends and I are planning to have a Monster Movie Marathon! Yeah!

Yeah, yeah! We're going to watch the new Godzilla and Pacific Rim in my Dad's theater!~ Maybe we'll watch some of the classic ones too... Guessing you're not into kaiju clashes?

Nah both of those movies lacked what I wanted really: Actual monsters and battles. In Godzilla they built it up and only towards the end you actually got anything and in Pacific Rim the battles were awesome but scarce so I really didn't like them. Most monster movies tend to be disappointing.

As usual, you bring up good points that are hard to argue against. I will agree that both movies were a little scarce battle wise, but as a Kaiju Clasher enthusiast, I found it perfect. Too much and it saturates the film. There was 30 minutes worth in Pacific Rim which is a 2 hour movie. 25% of the movie is a good amount. Godzilla on the other hand, got a toal of 11 minutes in a 2 hour movie. If we count adding the Mutos, it goes up to around 26 minutes. I still think that's a good amount. It actually scales well with the previous movies. After all, Godzilla got around 9 minutes in the original 90 minute 1954 version.

I remember you mentioning that you were going to study all weekend. Would you like me to stop bothering you so that you can focus?

I'd argue a 40% minimum, otherwise it isn't really a monster movie. It's a drama piece with monsters or monster elements within it.
