I never bothered about the cameras where i work, just need to make sure the mangers don't see. I have replied to text and answered my phone while working.
The mangers only look at the camera when they think someone has stole/stealing something.
Where i work is a old building to it hard to get a good data connection, so i just to the stock room at the back were i can connect to a open wifi
