in my country case,it's when the Japanese invaded South East Asia along with Indonesia and enslaved them for the benefit of resources to fight off the Americans in the Pacific.
Indonesia already had their hands full with the Netherlands for a long time before them.

I never got the motivation to do any of these 'anime marathons' since I mostly just watch a few episodes in one day when I'm feeling like it
