And so... how was your taste of touhou?

well,at first in lining up part was pretty weird and fucked up because reitaisai isn't as big as Comiket or Comic 1 so we got to wait inside the hall.but the fucked up part is i got to enter the battlefield last because the staffs letting the very last lines to enter the place first,not the very first lines where it should be like in Comiket.i still can't accept that part.

but after that,it went well even though some circles got sold out by the time i go to the booth and some didn't even have new releases.

i did went to the game section but nothing much caught my eyes in there so i didn't buy any.instead,i bought some cosplay photo album booth and buy couple of em.

one is an amateur Cosplay dvd but there was something different from the rest of it because,IT'S FUCKING REAL PORN!
that....blew my mind a bit.lol.
so the guy who's selling them (who is actually the damn actor in that porn dvd) has been doing it for awhile now and it always a different cosplaying girl to do with.man that guy's a pimp.lol.

the other one is a pretty daring cosplayer who reveals her naughty bits in the DVD rom album where she cosplays as reimu for her new release.when i visited her booth,she remembers me from Comic 1 and we chatted for awhile.then she suddenly shakes my hand while i'm still captivated by her juggling tits.that's pretty random.lol.

besides that,i just took some cosplayer's photos,do some auction on a dakimakura till 15.00pm.i also did buy some manjuu to congratz ZUN's wedding and write some congratz letter on the wall space the staffs provided before went home.and also do a detour to see 1/1 RX-78-2 Gundam on my way home.

that's pretty much it before i'm passing out on bed yesterday.lol.

Urggghhh... Don't talk to me about lines. There's this event called "AFA" (anime festival asia) which is pretty much the only major anime/manga related event in Singapore every year.

it goes like this.

-6 hours before opening, you'll see a sizable crowd outside the mall that hosts the convention hall.

-Orderly lines are formed when doors of the mall is opened.

-Line becomes a mob crowd when friend of people come join in the area where the their friends are queued at.

-By event opening, Sardines in a can.

Goosh, i hate it so much.

FAT CHANCE because the staff's really strict with it.
i did cut in line myself twice but after there's some guy who did the same way got a penalty by the staff.

i know that feel.especially the Summer Comiket because you can swap the sweats of other people....literally.

if your place's a mall,ariyake's a Convention specialty building with 2 huge halls in it and it managed to get overcrowded every year.
for the summer,i can handle it even though it's freaking hot as hell and that sweat swapping thing.many people got heatstroke because of the intense heat.
while i'm really weak in Winter Comiket because it's freakin cold with the ocean wind keep gushing at the line.

for my first reitaisai event,it was fun even though some fucked up things do happened in the process.


we've waited inside the hall this time.pretty strange compared to the other events like Comic 1 and Comiket but it's understandable because it isn't as big as those two.
but the only thing that i don't like is,WHY THE FUCK DO THE STAFFS LET THE LATEST TO JOIN THE LINE GROUP TO ENTER THE BATTLEFIELD FIRST!!!
i was in the 4th line and been in the line since 6amish but they let the one thats' just joined the place at the last minute to enter the place first??? that is so wrong!

There's only 4 million people in Singapore after all. Even so, there's only so many that'll go to such lengths. I'll only go so early to experience the "otaku" ways, even if i don't consider myself much of one. How'd you judge yourself? 1 to 10, how otaku are you?

Queue management seriously needs a nudge at a better direction... Well, at least the venue's changing at a bigger place this time. Wonder which seiyuu will be appear this time round~

i used to be 9 but anime and manga series lately kinda redundant because of the overused of moe girls shlock and i'm pretty much sociable to the non otaku group.

nice to have a good management queue unlike my own home country.

anyway, 8 huh...thats pretty high. Most of the otaku stuffs never really made sense to me to begin with, i suspect that's what never got me too high to the charts. I mean, artbooks and figurines are ok and all, i do possess some of them. But others like Dakimura, ecchi posters , wall scrolls... that's alien to me.

Also, i never understood the concept of anime t-shirt. That's pretty much the tell tale signs for me to identify a typical type B otaku. Logos are ok though, surprisingly. There was a shirt with the symbols of all the faction in Kyokai Senjou no Horizon that i really wanted to get in Akiba.

Anime-wise. Pretty much graduated from watching for the character that caught my attention to watching it for the plot. you'd hardly see me talk about how this character makes me all "doki doki" blah blah etc.

yeah well,i'm pretty much an otaku nerd since i'm little and been like that for my whole life.i was a narutard at first but since by the time i know that series BEFORE it went overrated everywhere then stopped at that point.
alien huh? then my room's pretty much an alien base to you then.lol.

well,it's like "HEY! LOOK AT ME! I'M THE HARDCORE FAN OF THIS SERIES/CHARA!" kind of thing.i do own some but more to symbols or just plain writings such as "Durarara!!!","Komike-" or "FUS RO DAH" that i owned.some are bad and some are good like when Monster Hunter Portable 3rd on sale,Uniqlo do a collaboration with Capcom and make bunch of Monhan Shirts that's actually pretty cool and fashionable.
heck,even the One Piece Uniqlo shirts considered as Fashion Clothes more than typical Anime Shirts.

i know there's already bunch of those typical plotted harem/non harem animes with moe chara girls these days but somehow,they kinda get mixed up for being moe and sexy.and that's why there's too many unnecessary fanservice that's actually unneeded if they can pull it of.even though some are great like my al time favorite Mahoromatic.oh...mahoro.

just look back at 80's anime.sure they were shitty compared to the present animes and lots of shitty OVAs but...they were intense and so interesting in many levels.like Gundam 0083,Jin-Roh,Golden Boys,Tokyo Godfathers,Lupin the third,Slayers,etc.

the beginning of 2000 era has some pretty good ones too like Genshiken(which is also one of my all time favorite and my "holy bible/Al-Quran" for my otakudomness),GTO,Nin Nin ga Shinobuden,Nerima Daikon Brothers,Excel Saga,etc even though it's also the beginning of the overused moe-chara-harem schlok fest.

even in Shonen Jump series where everyones knows about Dragon Ball,Naruto,Bleach,Deathnote,One Piece and many of the jump's big hits series,i'm still loyal to one of the series that i considered the gem of Jump,Gintama.
it almost got no plot whatsoever but it managed to makes me loyally following the each episodes of the series whether it's in anime or manga because it got comedy,most of the gross/dirty jokes,making fun of the other series and when it's in intense/battle scene,HOLY FUCK it's not as big as Bleach or Dragon Ball's battle scenes but DAMN BADASS!
they were hyped enough to make my blood boil almost like when watching TTGL,FMA(any ver) or any animes that makes you feel the intensity.now that's what been missing in animes these day.

i know it's a new era with overused moe girls and they even tries to combine weapons with girls like Strike Witches,Seikon no Qwaser,Queens Blade,Upotte!(which i haven't watched any but already read 2 vol of the manga series before they make the anime),etc but frankly,are you watching for the action and plot or just for some mindless fanservices?
even the titles lately is trying to copy Oreimo like haganai or any animes with long ass titles.what happened to just simply naming the titles like "Baccano!"?

sure it's actually pretty boring these days but a true nerdy otaku,i'll just saw some and review it than pass the judgement of watchable or not.it's a sacrifice that i have to endure and deal with these days.

Nah, i wouldn't descriminate aganist a person that has a alien base as his home, do i seem like such a mean person to you? Hahahaha... Monhan T-shirts are teh shit. TEH SHIT. I regret getting into the game so darn later despite being exposed to it so long ago. My eyes only truly open when i first experienced playing with 3 other buddies. The path was tough... was forced by my friend to complete Freedom Unite alone before being able to join their ranks at portable 3rd.

Gundam series aside. My anime history dates from mid 80s to 2000. There are series that i'll forever adore like Keikaishi and GTO. The days of awesome! I'd like to call it.

But where the money goes, the anime follows. It's quite a cruel cycle that have poisoning the newer generation of anime fans that moe blogs are the norms. I pity them. =\ I consider this season to be quite fortunate for my part for usually i'd only have 1-2 animes to look forward to. Hopefully this would be a sign of a turning point.

i've been playing Monhan series since the 1st game in PS2.at first i was a hardcore Ragnarok Online player then when i played it,it blew my mind how cool the game can get even though i've played it without Online Feature.i didn't play Monhan Dos/2nd because of the language barrier and no US release by that time but when i'm finally got a PSP and played Monhan 2nd G,GOD DANG NOSTALGIA RUSH!lol.

my favorite monster in 2nd G/Freedom Unite:Rajang.
3rd Portable:either Jinouga or Deviljho.
Tri G:White Lagiacrus for now.

you can say that again.sunrise still holding strong because of the Gundam series and they even make the 1/1 Gundam to honor it.while other studios still recycles the same style of plot with difference of character and settings.i bet they used the money for drinking in cabaret or something like that.sigh.
even that god epic series Saint Seiya that i was so looking forward to watch with my brother and sister got that weird with the newest Saint Seiya series.

well,let's just hope it'll gets better after the theatrical release Berserk came out.
