I'd be interested in the FMA Movie but unfortunately my brother celebrates his introductory into adulthood on just the same weekend, making me unavailable

I'd join in, but just fyi I actually haven't seen FMA, or at least not all of it, kinda just bits and pieces of it, the first series that is.

yeah, ive only seen 10 episodes of FMA and there is also a brotherhood sequel or remake or whatever it is. Is it unnecessary to have watched anything for the movie to make sense/not spoil everything?
