FREE SCRIPTS - August Edition - Statistically NP

I've added a fair few scripts to the pile since I last posted here, there's a little something for everyone!

It would appear that I'm building these up faster than I can get rid of them. If anyone wants to help, don't be shy. If you want advice on how to get started, ask here or PM me and I can at least point you in the right direction. If you just want to go nuts, please do!

Don't be shy about the quality or otherwise of your work. I started off as a terrible translator and have only (debatably) improved through fucking up a lot. Get in there and start getting the fuck ups out of your system! It's fun. :)

Next, some scripts that are not FAKKU-safe, if that can be called a thing. I'm not going to post images here, and the descriptions are going to be spoiled.

If you're weirded out by loli, hard rape, body mods, guro, or anything else of that sort for the love of God DO NOT READ THE NEXT BITS.

I assume that people will anyway, but some sort of warning needed to be in place. If you read the descriptions and are interested, you can go to the Statistically NP blog to find images and more information.









































Hopefully that's enough to cause some nightmares, because that's what I'm here for. :)

Hey I've never done this before but would love to try it out! How do I get started?

hmmmm I'm bored so why not? although I'm not so sure my weak heart could handle these lol. I'll have a go at [Inue Shinsuke] Caged Hawk.

Go to Statistically NP, choose your project and download the script.

Download the images as well. I tend to give out EXHentai links, which are a bit harder to use. If you don't use E-Hentai already, sign up to that, and then google for "EXHentai Easy". It's a plugin that lets you access EXHentai. Without it you'll just get images of a sad panda when you try to access EX links.

Get an image editing program of some sort. I recommend Photoshop. If you're not made of money, I recommend the five finger discount. Torrents and Google will help.

There are other guides out there that you may read eventually, but that's a good one to get started. Easy to read and concise, and you'll learn some about how scripts are made too.

Give it a go! Start with one page and figure it out. The first page will take you a loooooong time. But the next will be faster, and so will the next, and by the end of the book you'll be doing stuff in a fraction of the time it took you for the first page.

If you want reassurance, you're welcome to do a page or few and post them up here and I'll tell you how you're doing and give any tips I can. Don't feel like you need to do the whole thing before asking for help if it doesn't seem to be working.

If (when) you find something that seems off in the script, ask me about it. Chances are high that it was a typo, I was drunk, I was REALLY drunk, or I was just having one of those days where your brain tries to crawl out your ear.

That's all I can think of. Make sure you have at least a couple of hours spare on the night you decide to give it a go, it'll take you some time to find your way around all the buttons if you haven't got any experience already.

I do.

I make no promises about being able to fulfill any specific request, but if you've got something that you think would be up my alley then by all means mention it and I'll take a look.

If you're keen on editing it as well, mention that too as it makes a difference.

If the book really strikes me I'll get on it straight away.
If it seems sort of interesting I'll put it in the pile in case I'm ever in the mood.
If it isn't my cup of tea I'll refuse, and possibly try and point you in the direction of someone who might be able to help if I can.

You can probably see from the stuff of done the general area that I work in. I do branch out from time to time, but only for either exceptional artwork or exceptional storylines. I've done everything from vanilla to gay to tentacles in the past when the story and art tickled me.

I'd like to request a chapter of Sekaiju no Anone, should I link the Exhentai gallery?

also yes I do plan on editing extremely carefully mostly because I love Etrian Odyssey/Sekaiju no Meikyuu

That's really good, although my personal nitpicks for the second page would be to slightly rotate it but it's negligible since most people won't see the difference.
also what size was the font for the last two bubbles in page 2?

edit: also for the first page I think the stroke is too large, I'd suggest removing the text from the raw, redrawing the hair, and then putting the text slightly underneath/over her hair with about 3-4 px stroke?

Thanks! Do you mean slightly rotate the whole page? Also the font sizes are 7 for the bottom right and 9 for the bottom left.

yup, an editor usually does it to straighten the page before all the other stages, those stages being cleaning, redrawing, and typesetting.

edit: I also forgot, I usually keep text for a panel to at most a 2 size difference

Hah! You'll do just fine. That's some nice work.

I'd just keep all the font sizes the same unless you need to change them to fit it in. You don't need to fill out bubbles completely. They usually look a little better with a bit of space between the text and the bubble anyway.

It's easy to change things in Photoshop anyway, so try a few different things and see what you think looks best. A little experimentation early will help a lot. Save different versions and open them alongside each other so you can flick back and forth if you need to, it can help you see what you like.

Well, it looks like someone beat me to the Inomaru doujin, so I'm gonna see if I can't do the Nikudango Koubou Evangelion one.

Okay so I did the first page... the text bubbles were sort of see-through and I wasn't sure how to deal with so I just tried something and this is how it turned out.

Would it be better to use the images without the text and just add the english text to those? Or is there some way to clean the text but still have that transparent look?
