How 'bout old school flavor?
You could use every character from Saint Seiya outside of Andromeda, but I'd go Seiya over Kratos in Greek Myth Gar Battle.
And obviously, Captain Harlock is obvious. Dude only takes on all of Earth and
Space, and on top of that battles with Norse Gods. He's got shit for help, what with a crew of women and fat otaku types, but who needs excuses when you are the fucking man. Dude shames all pirates.
