Maybe it's because pop culture of the last 30 years has had an increased impact on our daily lives; celebrities were always dying but they hadn't remained in the public eye as they do now.
So maybe because celebrities of the last few decades have remained in the public eye longer, it seems like a lot more of them are dying because we pay a lot more attention to them?
