Regardless of whether global warming is real or not the things we get out of acting like its real such as better energy and pollution standards are good for us.

Wow. powerful video. Just a quick note, the issue with global warming isn't necessarily hotter weather for us. the issue is that temperature on a global scale is going up, and the biggest issues are the poles. the poles melting means not necessarily hotter or colder weather for us, just more extreme weather. our weather systems are changing in ways that are hard to predict.
Whether we are as big of an instigator of global warming as we think we are is still seemingly up for debate, though. there are a number of sources of green house gasses that are "out of our control", so to speak. I'm not taking sides on this debate, for obvious reasons.the issue isn't who made the biggest mess, it's how will we clean the mess we made.
I agree with Sindalf. Developing better technologies that use less resources transcends global warming. It's also beneficial for almost every sector except oil companies. The problem is often the Return On Investment is either too long or the benefits are not quantifiable.
Anyways, these are mostly my opinions and interpretations. I urge you to do your own research and come to your own conclusions.

Cold winter seasons are a part of global warming. A better term, the term I prefer to use, is global climate instability or just climate change. It's just going to get worse.
