At least apple made apps(.. no the user created shit) are created then tested for bugs, then release and pulled when they find problem not found in beta testing. Their entire business model is "Do it, then make it marketable." Some ideas work, some don't.
And, then you have the "Google Play." Which is cool in theory, but eerily coincides with the passing of "Don't be evil."
I see google has just a new form of the infomercial products. 95% of them don't do anything or for what they made for, their complete shit at it. With the few good functioning things. Do we need a app to change the thermostat from my desktop? Im i lazy not to walk five steps to change it.
Also my problem is with googles wifi settings. Why does it randomly logs off or can't get the signal when my shitty phone can and laptop. Literally test this. Not a problem with the other five browsers and it not only me. i had students say they can't get online unless they use ie or something else.. once they leave the college.. perfect. I can browser fine at starfucks or b&n.
It sounds like your problem stems from the app store, which is less regulated than the apple version.
On the flip side, having a more open marketplace allows for "better" competition. The basic fallacies of capitalism still factor in, but open development makes it easier for a startup to break into the market.
(Among the flaws, include shitty product. Apple sacrifices innovation for...stability? Whatever the reason, the tight control is a worse idea in the long run.)
