Do security guards get to have guns?You have to get a license/permit and you provide the gun, but they'll generally pay you a bit more as well. This is assuming the job requires or it's desirable to have an armed guard.
In the UK you have to have a license just to be a security guard and I think you legally can't do any thing as a security guard unless there are 2 of you on duty.
