Ys is one of my favorite series. Although the games are short, they somehow have a lot of replay values. IMO.

Ayuh I totally agree
My favorite game series ever is Ys hands down
Well, I've only played Oath in Felghana and Ark of Napishtim though...but Ys seven is coming out for PC in June 2012

They're seriously going to port Seven to PC? I played 1,2 3(Oath in Felghana), 6 (Ark of Napishtim) and Seven, I'm waiting for the 4th to come out on Vita and localized before I buy the Vita haha. I'll have to do some research on the fifth one and I'll probably buy Origins on Steam.

Cycle of the Forgotten Oath
They tell you they value the friendship you both shared and how happy they were about how you opened up to them about the frustrations they've been giving to you, but not long after, they make simple idle talk feel like it was troublesome for them and making it feel like you're not even worth talking to. When you're about to have enough of it, they make it feel like you're needed and they tell you again how much they value you and convince you to stay but in the end, they also make you feel like you're the bad guy, making you feel like you're the one at fault. They promise they would mend their ways and make efforts to not make you feel that way again. But alas, it repeated again to your dismay and frustrations.
They would keep their words for only a few weeks, days, enough to make you feel like everything's back to normal, if not better. When everything's set back to the normal rhythm, they would go back, again, to their old self, forgetting their words and be completely oblivious, forgetting you, ignoring you and leave you to go and laugh with others. Casting you aside when you're trying so hard to maintain the bond and trying to go even further.
Whenever something would be related to you, they would make it feel like it's a hassle, a waste of time, a forced course of action to take. Whenever someone else would ask, or rather before they even lift a finger, they would happily go out of their way to do it.
You thought if you would endure this for a bit more, just a bit more and try harder, they would notice and change, but to your despair, nothing seems to change, things seem to get even worse.
You're left but to ask yourself if you're wasting your time, if they really do value to the very least, your friendship or if you meant anything to them. Would they go back to their old ways even if it were to mend. How can you work so hard and be forgotten so easily, be overlooked and be distrusted? How can someone who did next to nothing be cherished and trusted more than you? You are left but to naught but confusion, pain, senselessness and inaneness.
