We are a community and some members are definitely closer to one another as compared to others. However, if everyone keeps crying wolf, then the residents may start losing faith in these "goodbye" threads.

I believe some of you will argue that members who choose to leave can do so without saying anything. Although that might be true, wouldn't it be more polite in letting your fellow members know, instead of leaving them wondering?

Lesson Learned: Goodbye threads should not be made out of jest... at least in my opinion. :eng101:

P.S. The Admins and Mods could always help if someone wishes to go on "leave" for a certain period of time. :D

I sort of agree with Gambler, but it is odd to me that threads must be made to say goodbye. Why shut the door behind you and turn in your key and membership card? Just take your leave and stop on bye as much as possible.
