Older dubs are pretty good, I haven't come across many Gundam dubs I don't like.
There aren't a huge amount of English VAs who work with anime and it's a hard profession to get into, so the selection is small.

Ah, true, I remember seeing the Wing dub years ago. Most dubs I have had the misfortune to hear have been awful, though.
Never been disappointed by German dubs, however. If they can do it, Americans should as well.
