War Thunder. Bioshock Infinite.. Guild Wars 2.. Total War: Shogun 2: FALL OF THE SAMURAI. I like how you think.
Also, TW:Rome 2 is coming out if you're a fan of RTS games.
Chivalry: Medieval warfare is also good.
Borderlands 2 if you have a friend.

Sengoku Rance.I beat it a couple of years ago but still was far from perfect... I liked it a lot- so any other game like that is appreciated.
Haven't played borderlands 2 but i liked the first one. - my brother beat borderlands 2 and he liked it.
I've played a TW game 4-5 years ago and i liked it but it wasn't exactly my cup of tea.

Sengoku Rance.good game- beat it a couple of years ago albeit far from 100% clear.
Please, suggest me something similar.

Well no shit, I have them already... those were included in the $700 >.> I wouldn't be posting if I didn't have them. I was keeping the list short.
Case is an aerocool something.
Mobo is a Ga-970a-d3
Cpu cooler is a Zigmatech red scorpion (and no, you don't NEED one, the cpu's usually come stock with one)
I didn't say that you don't have them... I just assumed that you had them from a previous build since you didn't mention them as parts that you bought + I wasn't aware of the low prices of the parts that you posted so I thought that just the parts that you posted cost ~700$ - my mistake.
Still, all you're providing are pc parts that are older/less powerful and thus cheaper than mine...
I know that there's a cpu cooler that comes with the cpu itself... but still when i stress tested with prime95 the temps got near 80c in less than 40min with the stock cooler, while with noctua after a more stressful test the temps didn't go higher than 58c after more than an hour -> so you see the point(possible future overclock capabilities) -> the same goes for the model of 7950(his iceq x2) that i bought: It has pretty good cooling and overclocking is possible. It can achieve/surpass stock performance of 7970 ghz edition.
Still from what I saw from the Australian site that you provided, the prices were higher than what i could find on ebay but maybe the final cost is lower because it is based in Australian and shipping is very low.
Nope, I was jist lucky as hell to get all the parts as cheap as I did. Half were second hand, the other half brand new. And dude, it's Australia... everything is going to cost more, regardless. The postage would still be rediculous
Also, I did build It like a year ago now, too

Now you made me curious :O Can you please make a check on ebay on random pc parts just to compare prices with the store that you bought your parts from? because i got the idea that prices on ebay were lower - at least without shipping...

Trust me, I did this a while ago. Everything on ebay is cheaper from outside of australia, but I wanted to get my parts locally. I scoured ebay, this site and many others for a few years. Literally a few years, waiting till I had the coin.

Pro-tip: Buying identical HDD (model # + size, less restrictive with newer firmware) allows you to set up a RAID array, which can dramatically improve read/write performance and provides redundancy if one of your drives should ever bite the bullet. Also never go with any manufacturer for your video card than XFX if you're building a high-end system.
Other than that, nice specs. If you want something that will push your hardware to it's limits, if only because of terribly inefficient code written by Czechs, try ARMA III.
Depends on what raid... Raid 0, yes.. but if one fails, you will lose everything.
Raid... 5 I think, you have one for backup, but it pretty much makes one drive redundant except for if one fails.
I'd say gigabyte is one of the better ones to head for (in australia at least) you get a decent length warranty from them, and they do have good quality cards.
There's are quite a few different types of RAID arrays, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 10. I rarely run into 2, 3 or 4
10 (1+0), in my opinion, is pretty much the go to array for consumers, all the performance benefits of 0 with the mirroring capabilities of 1.
5 is generally the standard for corporate set-ups, block-level striping with distributed parity, in essence it requires all drives but one to be functional, meaning any of your 3+ drives could fail and you'd still be in the clear. A downside is that you'd suffer some performance loss while one of the drives is non-functional, that and you'd only get the storage capacity of one drive in exchange for three if you have three identical drives. But, when dealing with corporate data, this level of security is mandatory.
If you're really paranoid about data loss you could go with 6, block-level striping with double distributed parity, two drives could fail and you'd still be good to go, though this is normally only used within fairly large data centers.
Going with Gigabyte is a good compromise if you're dealing with a budget. I have very fond memories of their motherboards, a P4 my parents got me back in the day when they were top of the line still runs, 10 - 12 years later.
Still though, for video cards, no one can match XFX's long reputation of reliable, powerful products.
Yeah, I don't know all of them off hand, but 0 is pretty much the most common in normal builds from my understanding, and seems the better option, as you said.
And eh, I misjudged. Thought you didn't know what you were on about, but you do. Nice save.
Still, searched XFX on one of the best sites for parts in australia (PCCASEGEAR.com.au Seriously the cheapest I can get, it's where I get all my parts from) and it didn't show anything... showed some older 68's in google, but nothign present. Does XFX do anything current? Or are they more top end?
They manufacture most current cards, but some of the latest models can be hard to find on consumer sites, they don't produce too many and they sell out fast. They've been dropping out of the Nvidia market lately too so most of what you'll find is AMD.

Ah sweet. Their 7850 doesn't seem too different to the msi twin frozr one I got (probably a bit better built, but)
And, I am absolutely fine with them only being amd. I stopped being an nvidia person since I had an fx5500... Worst card... Ever.

Both of their cutting edge cards are capable of producing the same results, but AMD cards are like half the cost and I've never had one disappoint me. Bit of an over-exaggeration but not really at the same time.

Yeah, pretty much. But, I'll say, the fx5500 wasn't the only reason I stopped... It was a fairly small reason tbh... Was just a shit card for no purpose... and pretty much was worse than inbuilt graphics on the single cores. And it had driver issues... newer drivers didn't work for it, so you had to stay back with really old drivers, despite what nvidia was saying...
But still, price is the main reason. I'm a cheapass, so I went with the more bang for your buck cards :D

I always check these things before I make posts like that, he did not.
I prefer not to call it cheap, rather... selective spending. I used to spend top dollar for a big fancy machine that could run all of the latest games at the highest settings, until I realized I could spend half the amount I was and get the same result. At about the same time I realized bragging rights are pretty much worthless because your hardware will be outdated in a couple of years anyways. This really worked out in the long run because I usually upgrade my computer every two years or so, Moore's law and all that jazz.

Fair call. I was pretty much making builds in the shopping cart of pccasegear for years, started off with intel and nvidia, then eventually found out amd and ati were cheaper, but just as good. Was keeping it at $1000. Eventually got to building this one, and found parts second hand, and bam. $700 for one that would have cost at least $1.5. The graphics card cost a third of the total price anyway >.>
