Hell I thought nosebleeds had something to do with all the blood you get rushing to your head and it bursts some capillaries or something because of all the things going through your head and brain.

its a urban myth that people get nosebleeds if they're sexually excited, and as said before its used in animes to stop them having to give them a boner or bulge, (which they still do for actually quite alot of animes).
