I sometimes do when i'm reading things that make me embarrassed, because i stop breathing through my nose, so i think that might have something to do with it

Some people, yes, but it's a very rare thing. Like, stars aligning rare. As was stated earlier, sexual stimulation can cause a drying of the nasal cavity, which makes it easier for a capillary to burst.

But I do have very fragile blood vessels, chronic nosebleeding, and it was a hot, dry day.

It's an old Wives tale. The story goes "by thinking impure thoughts your blood pressure will spike. the blood pressure mixed with high humid and really hot weather (or cold and high altitude) would cause your nose to bleed.
Seeing as Vitamin C is used to stop that and High citrus foods are kind of hard to find in the area the chances of having weak veins in your nose would have been high mix that with soy sauce and other higher salt diets and you can see where this story came from.

A blood clot from too much fapping travels up blood stream and pops in the nostrils thus causing the nose bleed while looking at hentai.
