For the most part a shitty user will make a thread and i will lock it while telling them not to make threads like that. If they persist I lock more, if they try to fight me it then gets messy. But if they understand(as nexus eventually did) I loosen the reins and don't track them that closely. It's not like I ever ban users for being bad posters, I just control their ability to communicate on our boards(which is, as always, a privilege).
Of course posting on these boards is a privilege granted in exchange for promising to follow a certain set of rules.

Depends on how the current mods/global mods deal with IB/Fakku. I've seen you pretty much tell another moderator to "stay out of your jurisdiction" when he moved something from Random to IB, which was weird, from a normal users point of view. I can go through thousands of threads in IB/random/ctfg since you've been mod and nitpick at every single post/thread and ask you "Is this what you consider a quality post/thread?"
What you consider good isn't quite clear. If you expect other people to suck it and grow thicker skin when someone says something hurtful and then people should suck it up when they see something "bad".(if it complies with the known rules)

When that happened I was a section mod and was told under no uncertain terms that both sections were things I had to watch, I didn't act without jake's permission the first time either. In terms of other bad threads you can find: I only cut out what I believe to be cancer.
I don't think it should be clear, being a good user in IB takes time and I want people to take that time so if my intervention can force people to take it I will, and I will continue doing so until I leave this "job".
