It likely isn't that bad. At least it isn't a tornado. Try camping during a severe flash flood warning

I was outside riding a bike during a tornado. The wind was so strong it blew me uphill... but then I had trouble turning because the wind wanted me to go with it.

Try camping during a severe flash flood warningLast el nino i had to take a bass boat to get from one house to another picking up people and going to the high mark which was a mini mart. Same day a river overflowed and broke the side which many people got washed away... river is gone and now it a memorial. I remember the cars and bodies.

A lot of people find their first a little scary.
And many end up rather disappointed and underwhelmed.

[color=#ff69b4]I've been in three level 3 Hurricanes and it's not too bad you just have to put up with it.

I'm gonna stay right where am and watch the disaster unfold before me. With a bag of popcorn and a beer or two.

Board up the windows, have stocked water, gas (if you use a generator or car), some canned or preserved food, batteries of all kinds, battery powered fan, towels for any water leakage, duck tape and some candles.
Other then that, not much else to do but sit in some area of your house and read or something. Power will go out, but hopefully it will come on sooner then later. Had a hurricane knock out my power for a little over two weeks. I didn't really care since I made shelter in a closet where there was a great draft (also stocked it with a shit load of candy and food), left my family to fend for themselves.

I live in between two mountain ranges, so no typhoons (since Pacific coast) or tornados. Just minor earthquakes that don't really do any visible damage.
