I Don't Have Time for This!

Dammit, I should be filling out online job applications, and instead, I spent the last hour on Fakku. Fucking stores. Every other store only has online applications. And they all take forever, with a ton of stupid hypothetical questions. Ugh.
Hi, everybody. Here's what's up:
- I haven't been on Fakku recently because my friend and I are trying to get an apartment. We've run around a lot, and I've spent a lot of time looking for a job.
- I probably won't be on Fakku much for the next couple of weeks because, haha, job hunting!
- Maybe 0.05% of Fakku cares about that shit. The people who care, you rock.
- I celebrated my birthday with some friends last weekend. We got into a minor wreck, landed in a ditch. Nobody was seriously injured. If we had went off the other side of the road, or had run into the ditch a little sooner or later, someone could have died. Fucking awesome, right? I'm still wondering if I didn't die in the wreck, and all this is a crazy dream.
- I am now 23. Yeah, that's the number that made Jim Carrey go nuts. I'm worried about the coming year.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to fill out an application for a grocery store, despite having my associate's degree. And maybe re-learn how to ride a bike, since I don't have a car.

Happy belated shaggy. I can sympathize with you on the job hunting. I was lucky enough to land this gig. Not exactly something I want as a career but, you do what you have need to pay the bills. Best of luck.

Yea online applications suck, I prefer walking in and getting an application filling it in and returning it, that way I know someone got it, preferably the manager etc.
Also I take it the car was completely wrecked? My friend had something like that happen, he got bumped from behind and landed in a freeway off ramp ditch *he was fine, car a goner*
Good luck with job hunting nano desu
Happy B-day (late thou but I said it ^_^ )

I hate online applications, more than any other type of application. They tend to take a pretty long time to complete.. and once done, you don't even get a response back (for the most part). Well, maybe not you, but myself. All I ever receive is a "Your application has been sent and will be reviewed." message or something along the lines. So I gave up on those. Now, if I'm searching for a job, I do it in person. Luckily, I don't need to go through the job application process anymore. Within the next week or two, I'll be working again.
Also, Fakku can be quite a distraction lol.

Also, good luck on your various hectic ways. Make sure to punch a hooker if you get too stressed out.

I disagree with that statement... What if you were able to obtain a 100 sex slaves of your choosing on your birthday?[Doesn't matter if they're fiction.]

Being a grocer is nothing to be ashamed about, with the current rate of unemployment you're lucky to have a job.

Actually, the car was fine. A little smashed up front, but he drove it away that night (after it got pulled out of the ditch). Fucking crazy.
Thanks, everyone who responded. :D
And to those who complained about online applications, I hate them very much myself, and I'm not sure they'll do much good, but most of the places I've visited said that they only do online applications. It's not even possible to apply in person for those jobs. But I figure I'll apply online and then call up the store and ask to speak to a manager or something, try to move the process along. I hope it works.

Well we 0.05% will miss you. I thought it had been a long while since I've seen you post. Hope life gets better  if it makes you feel better I still live with my parents, though I must say as lame as that sounds it’s nice.

Personally making sure your application got in scores some major points.
I like to physically show up, and ask if my app. was received. People tell me I'm a nice guy, and I've been bumped up a couple times. It also gives employers an opportunity for an impromptu interview--giving you a leg up on others.
I know how hard the job hunt is, I've spent the last month on the search. (Actually got one, but I can't afford a loan on a van, so no dice.)
Turns out writing and firefighting are the toughest gigs out there....
