Wow, I really have to get into this series. I still have the original first four .hack games at home, alongside a crap load of other .hack related material ranging from anime, anime spin-offs, original novels and manga side stories, but never really got into them since it is a really complicated series to keep track on because of all the released material.

Of all the .hack characters, I missed BlackRose, she pretty much started my dark skinned, anime girl love craze from way back in 2004.

Maybe if they released an HD Collection, I'll be all over them this time around.

As for continuity, I found sticking just to the games helps a lot. You literally don't need to know anything else (unless you want to know every side character reference).

I totally agree with you when it comes to dot hack but i would love if they came with a new dot hack game for ps3 in my case but any system would be a great as well
