I just ran for three minutes
1
That may not seem like a big deal for some of you, but for a fat motherfucker like me who hasn't properly exercised in five years, it is a very big deal.
I'm dizzy. I am actually kind of dizzy right now.
To make me seem even more pathetic, I didn't even run outside. No, I ran inside my room. I ran from one wall to the other for three minutes, while listening to "SHIKAIDAA no Uta!" from Lucky Star. Well, it was more of a jog, but it was a hard job! My legs are burning! I can't stop sweating, and my breath is very slowly coming back to me.
And why? Because I'm cheap. All my pants are either getting tight or have holes in them, and since it's winter and I hate tight pants, I have two options - I can either buy new pants (NO WAY! I COULD BUY ANIME AND MANGA WITH THAT MONEY!) or lose some weight so my pants won't be tight.
And why am I posting this? Because I am bored. And I'm sure someone will get a chuckle out of this. And maybe I'll lift someone's spirits. Maybe someone will read this, think, "Man, my life sucks, but at least I'm not Shaggy, running back and forth in my room so I don't have to buy some new pants!" That's right, you're not me, and thank God for it, right?
I've got so much sweat under my man boobs.

Solution: Buy a treadmill. I did, and I set it right in front of my HDTV. Being able to watch tv while exercising sure helped me lose weight.

Keep at it amigo! Start slow, of course. It helps to watch stuff that gets you riled up, take it from me. I eventually got to where I ate once a day, but it was a decent sized meal, and I wouldn't recommend that to most people. I drank lots of fluids to keep myself hydrated, and my only meal was eaten in the middle of the day. If I ate it at the beginning, I got hungry in the middle of the day and it felt like an eternity before I ate again. When I ate the meal at the END of the day, it REALLY felt like an eternity [lol]. But right in the middle of the day, you wake up, wait a little and then mow down. I now weigh 140 [I'm 5'11 by the way] and all my friends dubbed me 'the skinny crackhead.' Not that I do crack mind you, but that's just what they call me.
Well, just thought I would spew that story out of boredom as well. I think I'm gonna go swim in a sea of hentai.

That's funny. People have been calling my brother "Crackhead" for years, due to him being skinny and his propensity for doing crazy stuff that only a crackhead would do, like dumpster diving and living off of the food.

an even harder challenge? 5mins. :3 I took Strength and Conditioning my Senior year of high school. It was the only time in my life that I actually exercised. Anyways, every day, we would run for a certain length of time, increasing steadily. By the end of the semester, we had to run for ten whole minutes (though the teacher/coach let us slide if we couldn't do it for the whole time, as long as we ran for most of it). God, that was hard, even after weeks of exercising and working out.
I think if I keep this up, I may be ready for five minutes in, I dunno, three months?

Being able to watch tv while exercising sure helped me lose weight.I've actually wanted a treadmill for years, so I could walk or run without leaving the house. Not a whole lot of safe places to walk or run around here. But they're pretty expensive, and I'm trying to save money so I don't have to buy pants. A treadmill's far on the horizon for me.

Remember to do various exercises. What sort of exercises should I do? I know to stretch and all that, but that's about all I know.

The ones I can think of doing at home are pushups, situps, jumping jacks, and squats.

Maybe you aren't accustomed to running, but walking should be fine right?
Like what others have recommended, it is all right to start slow. Try going for long distance walks. Instead of driving or taking the public transport to your destination, alight a few stops earlier and walk. Doing so on a daily basis may help to reduce some weight, or at least build up your stamina before you start on a jogging regime.
I am not sure if you live in an apartment, but if you do, try taking the stairs instead of the lift. Climbing up and down everyday is guarantee to be effective.

Wow, treadmills are cheaper than I thought. I guess I'm still living in the past. I thought a cheap one would be $300.
Thanks for all the suggestions, guys. It means a lot, and it motivates me even more!
But . . . did anyone think it was funny? I thought my material was killer. Especially, "I've got so much sweat under my man boobs." I thought that was Grade A stuff.
Am I losing my comedic abilities? Am I not funny?

Here are some home stretches that one can do at home:
Abdominals: crunches, reverse crunches, oblique crunches
Quadriceps/Glutes: lunges, squats, side-leg lifts, scorpion stretch
Total body body core: push-ups (triceps/chest/shoulder versions), planks of 30 second intervals
Cardio: shadow-boxing, interval training of running/walking, fast walking.
These are excercises without using anything but the floor and your body. Look the terms up on google to find out what they consist of. My own menu is more advanced than that because I have a pair of 10 dumbbells that allow me to do bicep curls, french curls, skullcrushers, shoulder press, lateral raises, etc. etc. Also makes some of the other excercises more effective by adding additional weight.
