Only joined the Pencak Silat (traditional martial art) during junior and highschool, and a little football and badminton here and there. But mostly pencak silat.

I was good at basketball when i was in HS but that's probably because I was taller than everyone else in my class and because my arms are fucking long and i was good at marking.

Aim at the vital points, yes. Stay close to the ground, no. This art was intended to kill your opponent ASAP using any kind of underhanded tactic. We care not about chivalry and such.

But you only need to take down or hit your opponent for point in competitive match. That's why my school instructor never select me ad representative, I play hard, just as how my grandfather taught me. I was kicked out of the club in 2nd year after injuring my instructor. He was a dick anyway. And that feels good.

Personally I think Muay Thai sounds like a good one for killing people.

2nd most played sport in the world. It'd be more accurate now to say it's Asian.

Pencak silat was kinda like Muay Thay combined with that Filipino bamboo art. It was invented 500 ago, but then developed to killing art during Dutch's invasion.

Personally speaking, the old pencak silat more deadly compared to muay thay. Of course, this opinion might be biased as I'm a pencak silat practitioner.
