Cut around the pit and leave the skin on to hold. You end up with a pit that has some meat on it at the end but you can just suck on it and peel the remaining meat off.

Hmm... Maybe I'm not letting them get ripe enough. They're not cutting as smoothly as they should. :x I'm afraid they'll get over-ripe, though.

I dont cut my mangos, i just peel it off with my hands and eat it like a banana. With a big seed in the middle.

Mango season is here again this time of year in my homeland, good alternative for snacking and can be found by the plenty as long as there's a tree to pick them from. I just bite into the skin and peel it away using my teeth, then savour it until its completely sucked dry.
