I think my favorite tsundere couple is Haruhi Suzumiya with Kyon because they tsun-tsun back and forth when usually it's just the girl:
But I really like Asuka Langley because she's sort of a self-loathing tsundere, she tells Shinji she hates him and she really does, but hates herself more for also loving him.

Asuka ain't tsundere.
She doesn't love Shinji, she sees him more as someone inferior who should worship her.

Not at all, she sees a pilot with superior abilities to her own, which piloting is her one ability which she absolutely holds above everyone and uses as a foundation to her self esteem. She also sees Shinji struggling with many of the same social issues she does, and how he allows them to show through in ways she does not. Asuka definitely admires certain qualities in Shinji, if not she wouldn't shower him with attention.
