If you could live forever would you?

Immortality? Well it depends on what that means and the conditions.
I would accept Immortality if you do not forever suffer from a physical problem you have or might pick up along the way.
Or that you indeed stop aging, I don't see the fun in being 3000 years old.
As for watching people die over and over again over lifetimes, ya see I don't buy into that tragedy of being immortal that vampire novels have introduced. It might be a thing, but lifetimes of experience and joy counter such, just as it does in real life. I have seen plenty of happy old people that wanted it to keep going. Oh no, you don't want to keeping living, that would be tragic, think of all the pain such a life would have....yeah right.
Most of the people I knew that made any big deal about this either thought too much about death or thought too much about how they are shortening their lives by drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, or risking diseases though unprotected sex. The rest are exploring an interesting aspect of the human mind, is it able to stand lifetimes of pain and joy, or is the shortness of our lifetime a mercy.

Dependes. Will I be a frail old man that needs a diaper change? If so then no. I personally want to die once I cannot support my own life and I don't want to be a burden. But if I were to be fit, that'd be a different story. I actually am not scared by death. It's really hard for me to feel emotion sadly. I already accepted that'd we'd all die when I was a kid. It's just how things are. Immortality would really be a curse depending on the circumstances. Oh, and U really would not want to be around when aliens come here to buttfuck us and try to do a world takeover.

Only if I were given the chance to end my life when I felt I've had enough and if I got to choose my age at will. Losing friends and family would be terrible, yes, but that is what must happen. I want to see how far humanity will go. Eventually, if humanity lives long enough, they would out evolve me and probably even surpass my mental capabilities to the point where I no longer understand what is going on, but at least I would have been there all those years to see it happen. When the universe finally starts to die and there is nothing left but darkness, that's when I would choose to end myself. The universe would have been born billions of years before me, but we could die together.

Remember me?
I would totally want to live forever.
There's too many things I want to see in my life that I wont get to see in the short time which I'll actually be.

Sure. It would be interesting to see where mankind goes. I'm going to assume it's immortality through longer healthy living but injuries could still be fatal. That way if mankind died out, I'd meet my end with everyone else.

Honestly, the thought of immortality scares me. Some of you see it as a gift to see how far humanity can go, but we all know that humanity will never go as far as we'd like to imagine.
The human body was never meant to last forever, and for those afraid of death, accept it now, as it is an inevitable part of living.
There's really no sense in being immortal anyways. Yeah, you would get bored of being alive, but that boredom can turn to envy, even hate, for those that are mortal.

Within the next 20-30 years I hope to eliminate death via old age. You could still be killed but most illnesses and organ failures should no longer be an issue.
