That sucks. I've had my bike stolen while I was browsing a thrift store one time... and it was locked up. Someone cut the cable.

Been using U-locks now, haven't lost a bike via theft ever since (I mostly destroy them through rough use)

Lucky for me, the thief stole my cheap mountain bike. My cats and car were spared

Well that sucks i had my bike stolen once after that i always brought my bike inside.

Never had my bike stolen, but one time I left it outside in front of my garage and forgot to put it away. At night I heard a bunch of noisy teenagers in the neighbourhood and then the next morning, I found my bike's wheels were poked full of holes and they stepped on the thing like no tomorrow. It was after that that I was finally motivated to get my driver's license.

I'm extra paranoid and bring it inside the house when not in use.

there's a compilation on youtube where cats go toe-to-toe with other animals like opossum fox dear snake giant spider alligator bear and they were pretty gar. i'd be pulling a soprano in half of those.
