i thought the own pokemons name is displayed in the left bottom corner and your team pokemon is right above it, the enemy pokemon+name/HP on the right side top..
atleast thats the case on my 3ds when i play it..

The screen was just captured when the battle camera was shifting around, you know how it gets different angles and such when you are just sitting there.
