I was not and am not offended by you asking the question, but I will take offense to you insinuating that I my be a pedophile (either that or you just have terrible grammar).

I will never deny that I have read lolicon, but not because I enjoy or love it in any fashion. I was about 15-16 when I first discovered it and didn't understand it at the time. I was disturbed by some of the things made about young prepubescent children to which I used in a research paper for college in psychology. I still read some to try and understand how the mind works.

You are correct in your thinking, that there are possibly pedophiles who may read lolicon, but not everyone who has read or knows about it is. Having an interest in such topics does not immediately classify one as a pedophile

Pedophilia is a medical diagnosis of a person of 16 years of age and older with a primary and or exclusive sexual interest of children (around the age of 11(or younger depending)-13 which in most cases is considered prepubescent). This said person of 16 years of age and older must be at least 5 years older then the prepubescent child for this to be condition to be diagnosed as pedophilia.

Within the terms of the ICD pedophilia is defined as a "disorder of adult personality and behaviour" in which there is a sexual preference for children of prepubertal or early pubertal age.

The DSM-5 gives the term pedophilic disorder to which it is defied as a paraphilia in which adults or adolescents 16 years of age or older have intense and recurrent sexual urges towards and fantasies about prepubescent children that they have either acted on or which cause them distress or interpersonal difficulty.

What I am trying to show is that everyone in life has potential to do anything, whether it be the abuse and rape of children, murder and torture, etc. Just because people have read it doesn't mean that everyone is a pedophile.

You stated in your opening that you are underage of this site, hence you are under 18 (though the age is of question). You still have a lot to learn about life and the complexities it has to hold. I will never defend a pedophile, I've met a few through my profession sadly and when I said that there is more to it then just looking at child porn, I mean it.

As for high school girls depending on your country the age of consent varies. Some places it's 14, others it's 18. It isn't statutory rape unless they're underage.

As i stated in a previous comment, my father works as a prosecutor and specialises in crimes of sexual nature (and Responsabilidad Penal Adolecente, wich i'm not entirely sure how to translate) so i know much about pedophiles, probably more than most people my age, i was just stating that if someone has a sexual preference for lolicon it MAY be that they are potentialy pedophiles, i know there is a LOT more to that in being a pedophile, and i was by no means trying to accuse you or anyone of being a pedophile, if it came that way, i blame my poor grammar (give me some credit though, i'm completely self taught (through videogames)).

Here is the problem I have with this though. You say you know about pedophiles, so why ask the question in the first place, especially on this part of the site if you possibly wanted serious answers? The other issue I have is you say now that your intention wasn't to offend, but you say this in your opening,

You may have wanted to keep from offending people, but you need to understand that this can indeed be offensive no matter how much you try to say you're not.

Last words of advice to you my young friend, it's great that you've taught yourself how to type (it truly is an accomplishment), but you need to learn to better express yourself. At the very least, think out your questions better (do research on the subject). Don't just depend on a site... especially this part of this particular site for serious answers without restraint. The other piece of advice I can give is to learn to accept advice, you are still young you said so in your opening you were underage for this site. You need to learn to keep your mind open to all things people say and shape your own perceptions from there, do not rely on dear old dad for all of the answers (though parental wisdom can be a good start), why not do some research on the subject some more?

Well, i posted this for the sheer pleasure of saying something stupid, and beacuse i thought the reactions of the users and their replies would give me a good laugh, and some did. On the other side, i do have an open mind, even if most people don't believe me (i contradict EVERYTHING remotely subjective that ANYONE says, for the simple pleasure of a good argument(wich is kind of hard to get when most people you talk to spend their time watching soap operas or drinking/smoking)) and i honestly don't get my opinions from anyone, i find that plain dumb, one must create his own convictions, but i do ask my dad for a lot of FACTS, since he works in that, anyways, it's odd and at the same time nice to find someone telling me this in fakku of all places.
