On topic. I wouldn't send a girl her age, but the boy is old enough to start doing some errands. Going to the supermarket to pick something up (if it isn't too far). I think he's old enough to start doing such things.

My mom used to send us to the gas station to get candy bars and stuff kinda that young but she was RIGHT THERE.

That was too adorable. No, I wouldn't send my kids out that young. But, the TV crew was watching them, so in this case it just proves for entertainment of kids do and say the most darndest things.
