I was a leecher for like a couple of minutes. Maybe around 5 minutes then joined in.
That was on September 12 2009.

more than 50% of the people here started as lurkers and leechers but like me they eventually started posting and increase the population of Fakku if we can overlook these small stuff it will benefit us in the future surley

I still leech whenever I can. :D The seeder to leecher ratio is astounding.

I lurked for some time (almost half a year) and downloaded every doujin there was on fakku. There's more than enough to please a lurker, so anyone that decides to join (to request something) should at least try to be nice and coherent. Unfortunately, that rarely happens.

I've said this before. I'm okay helping with requests, even if they are new members. But they have to be coherent.

I don't have anything against the regular lurking leechers tbh, but the ones that comes and start demanding things and complain about stuff pisses me off.

Just wanna add that when i say leechers that's "demanding things" im not talking about the ones that make a courteous request, im cool with those.

Leechers are actually the majority of the site. To be honest I think it'd be a bad move to ban them as they are a big asset to the community even if you don't recognize them. Why? A site gets famous not because of the intellectuals or the regulars who contribute stuff to the site but rather because of users and visitors sharing their thoughts about the site to their friends, companions etc. In short, this site's main customers are downloaders and people here don't post pics without expecting them to be taken. I personally believe that it's an uploader's delight to know that his uploads are downloaded and shared no matter how anonymous the customers are.

This is true. I occasionally help out with Requests whenever I feel like it and when I can... but the attitudes that some of these people take is appalling, like downright rude. I don't stand bullshit like that, and neither should anyone else.

Naoto Shirogane has a very valid point. To turn away the leechers and lurkers is like getting rid of over 80% of FAKKU!'s visitors. And that's a lot considering that the membership is over, what, six digits?
