It's so users who are close enough on Fakku can somewhat... solidify whatever bond they have. Now, mind you, it doesn't mean you have to like each other or whatever. Even those with a deep respect and admiration for one another can go for this, maybe even regardless of real life "status".

Sometimes, it's also done in jest between groups (yes, groups of several people) of friends, and even between "bros".
