He suffers from feelings of inadequacy that leads to state envy. coming from the state with the smallest total land area, it's not suprizing he hates California so much. not only is it the third largest, it is one of the most productive. we also have the most divers landscapes. i can go from snow, to redwood forrest, to desert, to the beach, all in a few hours drive. where as his state (RI) is even smaller than Delaware.
