Ok, so was surfing facebook as per usual. And came across this picture.
Now, answer below what you think it is. Let's see who knows their maths.

Running by BODMAS... it's brackets first, then division and multiplication, so...

1 + 2 = 3

gives:

6 / 2 * 3

gives:

3 * 3

which gives 9.

If going through PEMDAS:

6 / 2 * 3

6 / 6

1

So yeah, it all depends on what you learned growing up. Our school had BODMAS.

Yeah, I got:
6/2(1+2)
(1+2)=(3)
6/2=3
therefore
3(3)=9

Y'all are using PEMDAS incorrectly. Correct answer is 9. Contrary to popular belief, PEMDAS does NOT mean you do multiplication first.

BODMAS is exactly the same thing:

So the correct way to solve it is to do the parenthesis first, THEN the division, since it comes before multiplication in this problem.
