would renaming the .rar archive to a .jpg or a .png work?

No because RAR files are compressed files that can contain multiple different files. It simply wouldn't work because the coding is different.

Instead of renaming it, there should be some way to hide an archive in an image file by using cmd.

I remember the days of doing that... I've never had a computer that would actually do it though... Halo CE save files used to require you make a txt document, then rename it to chapter1.sav or something.

You used to be able to change the file extension to make them jpegs or something, not sure if you can change them back, and have them still work, though

You can "erase" the file extension, and upload it as a 'file. Then just rename it later.

What even? Mediafire is almost the runescape of the uploading world~
