My childhood involved a hunk of anthropomorphic gum!

This blunder wasn't really that bad, but it gave me quite the chuckle. I may have been too young to understand it at the time, but now, as an adult. This is hilarious!

What I really don't like are the 90's elitists, people who claim that not seeing a particular show as a kid makes you somehow less of a person. I don't see the point of making it a competition since we all had different experiences and saw different shows. I never saw Dragon Ball Z as a kid because we couldn't afford extra TV channels, never had a GayCube, N64 or PS1 (PlayStation at the time). Instead I had a Sega Genesis which my brother sold to us because he needed money and didn't really want to part with it; if I'd have known that I'd have taken better care of it. And I didn't get to see Cartoon Network stuff in extensive amounts until my teens.

I guess I should consider myself very lucky. I got a N64 for Christmas 1999, and I believe I got my gamecube in 2004 (I think). Plus I was able to watch cartoon network at my grandparents place every time we went over there (which was often), so I got to experience shows like PPG, Ed, Edd n Eddy etc during height of the 90's. After hearing your story I don't think I'm going to look back on my childhood and think of what I could of had, but what I had. Thanks for that dose of reality.
Also, I think I saw better shows in the early to mid 00s, 90s were cool, but I can only remember 94-99 (94 and 95 just barely). Personally I think most people's reasoning for hating on decades past the 90s is because the 90s was the last decade before the internet really started taking over people's lives in the 00s. Sure, the internet existed for public use in 1992, but it didn't really start becoming mainstream until the 00s.

ARE YOU OLD!?!
If you younger I'm gonna break your vagina beiber.
@Gravity HEY. DON'T CALL IT GAYCUBE I'LL CUT YOU!!! I'm actually not an elitist I gave away my GameCube but recently thinking about Zelda wind waker and how I didn't finish it made me want my GameCube and wind waker back. :D. I think my Sega broke or someone sold it I have no idea. 0-0)
@Nexus Yeah. There's too much noise now. Too much revolution and look at dis we're super high tech inventors, creators and electronics era but in reality it's all the same still just extra loud and noisey and old shit being bejeweled. Nothing spectacular. Whoopie iPads. That's causing even more lazy kid destruction. (I don't wanna sound like that person but) I'm sure not many kids are playing in boxes or making cool indoor things like tents inside the house like I did with my friends much. I'm sure extra time is on handheld compooter.

I think my Sega brokeTo clarify I don't have anything against the GameCube, rather it's more of an affectionate nickname I've always had for it. GayCube just makes me think of a Rubik's cube with flamboyant colours on each side.
I'm too sentimental to part with my consoles but now that you mention it, I never did finish Revenge of Shinobi. Managed to download a ROM of Magic Hat's flying turbo adventure and beat that. If anyone remembers Decap Attack, it was the original version of that which was based on an anime.
old shit being bejeweled
Now I really want to play Columns. Man that game had some great music.
This particular track was used as the title music of the 6-game cartridge that came with my Mega Drive, which so happened to have Columns on it.

Well, I guess my point was kind of that a lot of people from my generation treat the things they receive in life as a given, and many of my generation don't work hard to earn their money like I do, which is kind of frustrating - when people talk about the whiny entitled twat generation, they're talking about my generation, sadly.
Not all of us are like that, but there are a good enough number to make my generation look bad. I can't even say it's entirely their fault, though - if a system is there, of course people will naturally abuse it wherever they can, even if that means giving up a greater freedom to control their own destiny and work to earn their ideal life.

Once I hit 26 that felt like an age milestone passed. I'll be 27 in January.
